Okada Manila supports homegrown talent with a first digital fashion show

Entertainment City, Philippines—Okada Manila, Asia’s largest Forbes five-star ultraluxury resort, teamed up with the Panasonic Manila Fashion Festival (PMFF) to celebrate the Philippines’ rising stars in fashion design. Themed “A Fashion Reboot,” the digital fashion show this May 31 to June 4 aims to provide a safe platform to promote local designers.

“The pandemic has changed the world and despite all the setbacks, the PMFF is providing opportunities for models, designers, and brands to reboot the fashion industry. It’s also a way for us to give hope and joy to the community. We’re happy to collaborate with Okada Manila to showcase the best of what the Philippines has to offer,” shares JM Ching, of the Panasonic Manila Fashion Festival.

Known as an iconic Philippine hospitality and leisure destination, Okada Manila is a staunch supporter of everything homegrown. Okada Manila Vice President for Hotel Operations Ivaylo Ivanov points out that the collaboration with the PMFF is a great way to reach more Filipinos. “With the easing of government restrictions, we are focused on revitalizing tourism and hospitality. This digital fashion show is a very safe way to do that while also helping the Philippine fashion industry. We’re very excited for this collaboration as we’d like to support more local talent and Filipino excellence.”

Now on its 7th year, the Panasonic Manila Fashion Festival will be streamed on www.mff-official.com.
