Quezon City – The Philippine Orthopedic Center (POC) recently honored Okada Foundation Inc. (OFI) with a special award in recognition of its contribution of rehabilitation medical equipment to the hospital.
This donation is part of OFI’s PHP 500 million commitment to the Department of Health (DOH), aimed at bolstering the healthcare system by equipping six leading government hospitals with cutting-edge technology and much-needed medical equipment. The beneficiary hospitals include the Philippine General Hospital (PGH), Philippine Orthopedic Center (POC), San Lazaro Hospital, Jose R. Reyes Memorial Medical Center (JRRMMC), Tondo Medical Center, and the Lung Center of the Philippines.
OFI President James Lorenzana, who received the award on behalf of the organization, reaffirmed their objective to “actively contribute to and participate in the advancement of medical care for every Filipino.”
Among the advanced medical equipment donated were essential tools such as the Adult Mechanical Ventilator and Sakura Cyto-Tek 2500 Cytocentrifuge. Additionally, two state-of-the-art machines – the Robotic Gait Trainer with Orthosis (Lokomat) and the Arm and Hand Exoskeleton Robotic Trainer (Armeo Spring) – were provided to POC as part of its Rehabilitation Program.
“We are deeply honored to support the Department of Health in this initiative,” said James Lorenzana, President of OFI. “By equipping government hospitals with essential tools, we aim to make a meaningful difference in the lives of the Filipinos who rely on these facilities for care.”
“We hope to continue being a partner of the public sector through more projects in the future, and fulfill the Okada Foundation’s mission for health and welfare in our country,” he concluded.
