Okada Foundation, Inc. is set to donate P5,000,000 to Caritas Manila’s Youth Servant Leadership and Education Program, which will support its beneficiaries through four years of college.

PARAÑAQUE CITY, March 25, 2025 — The Okada Foundation Inc. (OFI) has reaffirmed its commitment to empowering underprivileged Filipino youth through a landmark partnership with Caritas Manila, donating ₱5 million to support the Youth Servant Leadership and Education Program (YSLEP).

A Memorandum of Agreement was signed between OFI President James Lorenzana and Rev. Fr. Anton Pascual, Executive Director of Caritas Manila. The donation will be disbursed over five years, with ₱1 million allocated annually to support the college education of 34 scholars per year.

YSLEP is Caritas Manila’s flagship scholarship initiative, dedicated to uplifting academically deserving but economically challenged youth through access to college and vocational-technical education.

“We hope this academic support will help shape scholars into servant leaders committed to uplifting Filipino communities,” said Lorenzana. “This partnership reflects our broader mission to support nation-building, particularly in the areas of health and environment, education, and Filipino culture and arts.”

Rev. Fr. Pascual expressed his heartfelt gratitude to OFI, emphasizing that the partnership strengthens Caritas Manila’s long-standing mission to break the cycle of poverty through education and leadership formation.

The Okada Foundation Inc., the corporate social responsibility arm of Okada Manila, actively supports programs aligned with its advocacies in social development and inclusive growth.

“With this partnership, OFI and Caritas Manila affirm our shared commitment to empowering the youth and building a stronger, more inclusive Philippines,” Lorenzana concluded.
